Numbers and Pages app upgrade 2026

The upgrade to the new Numbers and Pages apps was clunky and super awkward. Who dis Apple;e put in charge of this transition? Anyone else have a comment?

News Pages and Numbers apps update (after iOS 26.2.1) New Pages, Numbers, and Keynote (ios 26.2.1). Following the iOS 26.2.1 update I have updated today, 28/01/26, the new Pages and Numbers, as part of the new Apple Creator Studio subscription, and they are a very bad joke. I would like to know if would be possible to reverse the last update to the previous version. I don’t get why should I pay €129/y for 12 apps when just 2 are important to me. For about the same cost, I got a perpetual license of MS Office for my Macbook, which is more complete solution and more widely used app, I perhaps should do the same for my iPhone.

Numbers and Pages won't update from App Store; shows 'Bought Hi, I'm on a MacBook M1. Numbers and Pages notified me that 15.1 version is out and I have to download them anew from the App Store. However, in the App Store it says with both that they're 'Bought' in a greyed out button. So, I can't download them. Please help! Thanks, Ying

No need to upgrade pages!? It seems that Apple wants me to upgrade Pages so I get stuck with the new suite and additional charges for the 9 applications on the package. I see people are sorry to loose the application which came with the computer! Is it better to keep the apps I have? without upgrading to creating videos or be subjected to new charges...
