Apple ID Locked & Activation Lock – No Recovery Options Available
Hi everyone,
I’m looking for advice regarding my Apple ID and Activation Lock situation.
About a year ago, I purchased an iPhone second-hand from a shop. I have been using it normally with my own @icloud.com Apple ID since then without any issues.
Recently, my Apple ID was locked for “security reasons.” Because of this, my iPhone is now stuck on the Activation Lock screen.
The problem is:
- I no longer have access to the iCloud email mailbox associated with the Apple ID.
- I still have access to the phone number I used when creating the account, but it is not appearing as a verification option during account recovery.
- There are no other trusted devices or recovery methods attached to the account.
- Since the phone was purchased second-hand, I do not have the original retail invoice from the first owner. The seller also does not have it, and the original retail purchaser cannot be contacted.
I have already spoken with Apple Support, and they informed me that without a recovery method or original proof of purchase, there may be no available solution.
I completely understand Apple’s security policies, but I wanted to ask the community if anyone has experienced something similar or knows whether there are any additional recovery steps I could try.
