iPhone 15 speakerphone automatically turns on during calls

I have an iPhone 15 and whenever I make a phone call, the speakerphone automatically comes on when I turn the speakerphone off whenever the other party answers the speakerphone automatically comes back on again. Why is this happening?

Go to Settings > Accessibility > Touch > Call Audio Routing, and make sure it is set to Automatic.
