Help restoring one application from time machine external drive

I backup my macbook pro to time machine and icloud but I cannot locate some files. It was recommended to me to restore the application in this case Quicken from time machine and then maybe the application will find it. I just want to "restore" that one application. I open my time machine external drive and I go to the data file and I locate quicken under application and right click but restore is not an option. What do I do?

You do NOT use The Finder to restore from backups. You use Time machine App, but invoke it in this way:

connect your backup drive to your mac.

navigate to the folder where you think that application should be, whether it is there or not.

from the Time Machine Icon on the menubar choose 'Browse Time Machine backups'.

the screen dissolves into the 'Star Wars' display, which show that same folder as of most recent backup, and older versions of that same folder receding back, back, back in time.

Unfortunately, you did not understand my question. You certainly didn’t need to put words in caps. I never even used the word finder in my question. I know how to use Time Machine and I certainly know what it looks like. I cannot use my previous computer Time Machine on my new computer in that fashion. I can only open the Time Machine files and was trying to find a way to just bring over one application to the new computer. I am moving on and will rebuild my data another way. Please keep Apple community polite.
