Cannot delete one contact; tapping it goes to Home screen
Only one contact in my contact list won't delete.. There is nothing in that contact...when I click on it, it goes to the Home screen.

This may be happening due to a failed sync or a partially added vCard among other things. This is a software issue. Is that contact on an iCloud account or one of your email accounts (for example gmail or outlook etc)? To find out Open Contacts ➡️ Tap on Back Arrow (Top Left) to get to Lists ➡️ Your Contacts lists will be listed here.
Tap on each list and see where the contact is listed. If it is on iCloud, then sign on to 👉www.iCloud.com and then go to Contacts and delete the corrupt contact there. If it is on one of your email accounts list (For ex. Gmail) then sign on to that email accounts from a browser and then delete the contact there.
Once that is done then shut down and restart your iPhone so that the contacts app can re-sync.
