It seems that it's possible to include the Spotify app in the Home app. I can't seem to do it. The Spotify app is on a Gmail address, while the Home app is on iCloud. Is that the reason for this problem? If not, what else could it be?

As there is currently no direct integration for Spotify, what remains as option is to use AirPlay. E.g. Siri on iPhone (iOS 17+) or iPad can stream Spotify using AirPlay, e.g. when asked “Hey Siri, play [artist/song] on Spotify”, if these HomePod speakers are your selected music speakers when nearby (or use Handoff proximity). Else activate AirPlay manually from any of your supported Apple devices.

Thank you very much for your quick reply. FYI, I've since discovered that the feature exists on Deezer. It's in Account/Gear icon/Music, at the very bottom, "Link my HomePod".
