How to unlock my iPhone 8 network provider

I purchases and iPhone 8 to someone that am no longer in contact with and the network provider is located how can I unlock it

iPhone 8, iOS 16

You would need to contact the carrier it is locked to and ask them to unlock it. They are the only ones who can.

Be aware though that that they probably won't unlock it if you are not a customer of them.


You should really return the phone for a refund. You probably won't get it unlocked and the iPhone 8 is a very old model that can't run an iOS later than iOS 16. Many apps won't run on an operating system that old.

If you can't contact them for a refund, you bought a very expensive brick.

It sounds like you bought a used iPhone, and the seller almost immediately disappeared. Getting a phone that is locked to a carrier that you don't want to use / can't use, and who refuses to unlock it, is only one of the possible dangers in such situations.
