Set SMS as default 2FA for Apple Business Connect?

With the increasing popularity of Apple Maps in the United States, we are being forced to manage special hours for our small business on apple business connect. Logging in to add special hours on apple business connect can be difficult in some situations as I don't have an iPhone but do have a non-apple phone set up as a trusted device in my apple account. I happen to have a macbook air (on which I don't use any apple software) and the business connect login insists on sending codes to my apple devices for two factor authentication. Is there a way to make an SMS to a trusted phone be the default two factor method for when that laptop is not available? I realize you can let it fail and cancel a few screens and eventually get to a backup plan for that singular instance but looking for a permanent switch.
