iPhoto library location feature missing on new iMac 24-inch

iPhoto has been dead for many years.

What you're talking about sounds like a change in the behavior of Photos. When I scroll through my Photos library, under Sequoia, with the "All Photos" tab selected, Photos shows two things superimposed on the top left-hand corner of the photo area:

• A range of dates
• A location (city name), which I assume is selected in some way from the location(s) of the photos closest to the top edge of the window.

Selecting the "Years" tab or the "Months" tab causes the location line to disappear.

Did Tahoe's version of Photos remove the "All Photos" line with the location (city) name?

If you organized your Photos library into albums then you would easily be able find your photos dates. For example, we travel a lot too and when I return from each trip my photos are already in the Photos app because I use iCloud and usually use my iPhone to take the pictures. All I need to do then is create a new album (say for example Kona, Hawaii March 26) and drag all the photos from that trip that are in the Photo Library into the album and they are organized without needing any more intervention.

Then if I want to view those photos I just navigate to the correct album or use another tool in the Photos app such as the Map and begin viewing my photos.

If you are already doing this then I'm afraid I don't understand the issue. MartinR also provided you the tool to report your feedback to, these are user to user forums and Apple does not read or participate in them.They are simply the forum's host.
