Best way to transfer files from 1394B connection (MacPro Mid-2012) to Thunderbolt 5 connection?

You can get dual-connect USB thumb drives with both USB-A and USB-C plugs. I have two Lexars with that feature:
Use the USB-A end (on the right in the image) on your Macbook Pro 2012 and the other end for the new device.
I used those a lot when my wife and I both got new Macs last year with USB-C/Thunderbolt to replace two older Macs with only USB-A and Firewire 800, one of which was a 2012 13" Macbook Pro. Everything transferred with no fuss.
