Photomator cross device issues iPad and Mac

I have Photomator on Mac and on iPad. Photomator creates albums in Apple Photos named Photomator. But it seems that the Mac and iPad apps both create their own Photomator albums, so I end up with two different sets of Photomator albums.

if I star rate photos or edit on Mac they don’t appear in the iPad album and vice versa.

its really annoying and completely useless.

All the pictures I've edited on my Mac show in the Photomator albums on my devices and at iCloud. com. I just cropped an image ini Pad Photomator, and it shows in the Photomator album in my phone and also in the Photomator album at iCloud.com. I'm not sure about the Mac-- it's busy right now.

Could you tell us a bit more?

  • Do you see your edited pictures at iCloud.com?
  • Do you have “Optimize Storage” checked in Photos’ Settings
  • Do your pictures synchronize otherwise?
  • Do you have more than 10% free storage on your iCloud account?
  • What is your storage on this iPad? At Settings>General>iPad Storage, my iPad says 209.5GB of 512 GB used. What does yours say? Do you have more than 10% free storage on your iPhone?
  • What is your storage on this Mac? At System Settings>General>iStorage, what does yours say? Do you have more than 10% free storage on your Mac?

You can try these things:

  • Restart the computer (of course)
  • Re-start in Safe Mode. This bypasses certain potentially disruptive processes, and it often helps. Safe Mode is different for different computers, so see this:

  • Force restart of the iPad

Force Re-start iPad

This is different from a simple Power Off. For me, the logo appears way after the Power Off notice.

Let us know what you find…

Drat-- I take it back. The picture I cropped in Phtotomator on my iPad did show the crop at iCloud and on my Mac.

But not today! It's still cropped on my iPad, but not on my phone or Mac or at iCloud.com. The phone does not have Photomator, but the Mac does.

That is so weird! The picture is in the Photomator album on the Mac, but un-cropped. Same at iCloud.com.

iCloud is supposed to keep all pictures exactly the same! I think I will send this to
