Refund for cancelled DuckDuckGo subscription

Hi! I purchased the annual subscription to DuckDuckGo and have cancelled the renewal. But I also wish to quit using DDG and request a refund. I do not see how to do that. My Apple subscriptions no longer displays DDG as an option for a refund, I guess because I cancelled it? Anyone have any ideas how to request the refund on my remaining time with DDG (through August of 2026). I no longer wish to use it. Thanks!

Subscriptions started through Apple don't disappear from the Apple Account subscription list immediately after cancelation. They will stay there for a few months before being dropped.

With that said, refunds can be requested through the https://reportaproblem.apple.com website. Not through the subscriptions list.

If you started the subscription directly on Duck Duck Go's website, then it would not have appeared on your Apple account at all and you would need to request the refund to Duck Duck Go directly.

It sounds like you are going to be asking for a refund for a subscription you have been using for 6 months already if it is an annual subscription. Unless you are in a country which has special rules regarding refunds you may find it difficult to get a refund for something you have already been trying for half a year.

Correct. Many times a subscription has a refund if you don’t use the entirety of it. I guess the only part which is confusing to me is I don’t want to use the browser, I don’t want to use any part of the subscription any longer, and that’s why I would think a refund would be appropriate. I guess in this case it’s not going to happen. Thanks for replying. Appreciate it.
