Notes app search not finding older notes on iPhone 13 Pro

i have approximately 7000 notes but sometimes (quite often however i think only notes of 3 or 4 years ago) even if i put exact wording they don’t pop up in search

when i scroll i always find them but it takes hours

i only have a 13 pro / is that the reason ?
