MacBook Studio: Window focus loss after recent updates

Subject: Ongoing issue with random window focus loss after recent updates

Hi everyone,

I'm experiencing a recurring issue on my Macbook Studio where, every 2-3 days, the system seems to randomly "tap out" of the current window I'm working in; and then it starts doing so constantly, like every second, I cannot even type two letter in a window before the window is turned into "not active." Whether I'm using Microsoft Word, a browser, WhatsApp, or even just the terminal, the system seems to lose focus and switches out of the active window within a second or less. This has now happened 6-7 times, and it's becoming increasingly frustrating as I always have to restart the computer and log into all of my apps again (with 2FA etc.).

The problem started after the second-to-last system update, I installed the latest update (Tahoe 26.3) yesterday, and the issue persists. I’ve tried closing all applications, but even with just the terminal open, the problem continues.

So it doesn't seem to be linked to any particular software, as it occurs across different programs and even in the terminal window itself. Has anyone else encountered this or have any suggestions for troubleshooting?
