How do I reinstate the missing Status Bar in the Apple Music app on macOS Tahoe?

In Tahoe 26.4.1, this is back. You can access it by using the view menu > Show Status Bar or by using following: [hold down: command key + press / key]

Hiding/Unhiding the Stus Bar in Music:

I've reinstalled my macOS recently, along with having it reset to Factory Settings by Apple Support at the Apple Store. Despite having performed both, it does not show. I had to bring it in because when attempting a reinstall, Monterey was showing up, instead of Tahoe. The Apple Rep was clueless about that happening.

Indeed, this is a bug. IT shows up in the help menu even. So, report this missing feature to Apple. Apple may not get back to you directly, but the more feedback they receive on this, the more they will know of what is occurring, and what features to include in macOS updates to come.

2. Select: "Feature Request" for the "Feedback Type"
3. Select: "User Interface" for the "Feedback Area"
4. Comment: that is feature is inoperable. Include the URL of this thread.
5. Proceed from there as necessary

Features Going Away:

As our friend D.I. Johnson knows, there can always be replies --some participants just post their replies upfront and to the point, and are not emphasized in great detail. One major big ordeal back in the day is that Apple did away with the ability to clear the caches in macOS Safari in modern macOS editions. With investigation, the way around that is to unhide the Developer menu.

You need to make a request to Apple that they should add this back, being the feature has gone away. Reports of this type are posted on these forums quite a bit. Apple just never reads them on their own time and will, being these are just user-to-user forums. So, provide them with your feedback, letting them know you want this feature to come back and why. Being these are just user-to-user forums, Apple barely reads these posts on their own will and time. Apple will know nothing of your ideas, if you don't provide them to them.

There are bugs all around. And that's what reporting this is all about. So, do your part and report this.

You're asking about the playback controls.

They have been relocated to the bottom of the Music app window.

Unfortunately there is no option today to move those back to the top of the window.
