Hi all
When booting my m4 Mac mini, there a squeaking like noise for about two seconds or so and then it stops. I have had it once during operation and went to reboot it only for it to just hang with no restart. Had to hold power button until it powered off and then pressed the power button again and during boot it has a squeaking noise for a couple of seconds then it goes away. Any help would be appreciated. Thankyou

Thank you for the reply. I have now figured the problem out. It was a mechanical hard drive that was squeaking and not my Mac. I was using it for Time Machine backups and I think it might have broke altogether but funny thing is it doesn't make a sound when connected to my PC. Using an external SSD instead.
