iMac Activation Lock removal pending 32+ hours

Hello,

I am experiencing a serious issue regarding my iMac device.

I forgot the password and the device is currently locked with Activation Lock. I have already submitted an official unlock request to Apple Support and provided the original purchase invoice as proof of ownership.

Apple gave me a Case ID number, and my request status shows as pending. However, it has now been over 32 hours and I have not received any response or update.

This situation is causing me significant inconvenience because I urgently need access to my device for work purposes.

Could someone please advise:

How long does the Activation Lock removal process usually take?

Is 32+ hours normal?

Is there anything else I should do to speed up the process?

I have fully complied with all requirements and submitted a valid invoice.

I would greatly appreciate any help or clarification.

You need to know that no one here can answer your questions. No one here works for Apple and we are all just fellow users like yourself. You are not conversing with Apple here and Apple Support does not monitor or participate in these user-to-user forums.

Your only way forward is staying in contact with your Case ID contact at Apple. They are the only ones who can help you.

Apple does not publish a time frame for how long it takes, but users have reported it anywhere from 2 days to 2 weeks. It seems to vary widely, maybe depending on the information that was provided, but not sure. You will receive a response by email and calling does not speed up the process.

Was the valid invoice you supplied from Apple or Authorized Apple Seller?

I have already contacted AppleCare by phone and provided my Case ID. They informed me that the review process is handled via email and that I need to wait for a response.

At the moment, I am waiting for the email update regarding my request.
