Issues with Voicemail.

Doing it with a computer is important because that way, you get a fresh copy of iOS.

I'm having no such issues with voicemail after updating my iPhone to the latest iOS 26.3 version. A bug would affect most people, but it's not. Force Restart your iPhone and see if that helps --> https://support.apple.com/guide/iphone/force-restart-iphone-iph8903c3ee6/ios

This is a user to user only forum. It wouldn't be possible to diagnose an issue with voicemail on your phone from our sofas. Voicemail is a carrier provided feature, so you could contact your carrier and see if there's perhaps a carrier update you may need to have pushed down to your phone.

to a physical apple store and asking other customers their advice

as other have stated, voice mail is a carrier feature which is why it works even if your phone is full off or broken, or out of coverish, all our various carriers around the world handle voice mail differently, my old carrier had an app my current one I have to call some number to listen to the voice mail and I get some sms or mail when there is a new message and such.
