iPhone: Cleaning after Punchbowl phishing scam?

There's nothing to clean. The only way anything could have happened is if you entered personal information on the site the link sent you to.

1. If you didn't, you're done.
2. If you did, you need to change any passwords or account information related to what you entered.

No. There are no cleaners for or needed on an iPhone. Closing the window was enough as long as you didn't provide any information, such as personal information or banking/credit card details.

It wouldn't matter if you opened it on a computer, either. The only thing a web page downloads to your computer is the content you see in the browser. Its text and images. That's it.

There's nothing that can take over anything. Ignore it and go on with your day.

The site initiated a push download. And an .exe file is an app that can only run in Windows. Even if it completed downloading that .exe, it couldn't do anything. It would be nothing but inert junk sitting on your device.

Embed themselves? Maybe on some other platform, but NOT on an iPhone.

Kurt 100% correct about exe files. They cannot run on iOS or Mac OS.
