Numbers header row not freezing after update to 15.1

I upgraded to latest Numbers and now the header row doesn't freeze. It just scrolls up like any other roll. "Freeze header row" is checked. Is this a bug in Numbers 15.1 (7044.0.271)? Do I need to do something else?

So after doing all that and messing around with several files, I found older files were fine. After careful examination, I found the ctrl-click menu had a "convert to header row" option. For some reason the top row is not an automatic header row when I create new files. It is an extra step, but at least my headers are freezing again, thanks.

That makes sense. I click the small down-facing arrow next to the first row number or column letter and choose convert to header row/column, the same as you get with control or right-clicking.

I don't care for how new tables have header and footer rows by default and that they are colored. I have to go to the format sidebar and deselect them.

I use freeze header rows in many of my Numbers tables and have not had a problem in Numbers 15.1.

Have you tried turning the setting off and then on again? Quitting Numbers and restarting? Perhaps turning the setting off, then quitting Numbers, then restarting, and turning the setting on again. Is it only one document or are all affected?

If it's still a problem, try creating a new Numbers preferences file. First, quit Numbens, then, in Finder, hold down the Option key and click Go in the menu bar, select Library > Preferences, and move the com.apple.Numbers.plist to the Desktop and restart Numbers. You may need to restart your Mac. Then turn the setting on again.
