How do I get a refund from Apple for double-charged subscriptions?

Had an App charge me a subscription for 3 months despite removing it multiple times in the subscription portion of my Apple ID. Also contacted the company. Apple continued to have me pay with claims of a refund being simple. Denied everytime. I then was trying to renew my peacock subscription and got an error on the app saying it was unable to process through the App Store. No problem. Updated payment through peacock directly. Next day I was charged by Apple. Sent screenshots to Apple support showing double charge. Again denied refund. Peacock had no record of the App Store charge and basically I had Apple steal $18 from me after the isssue with the other app. Their refund process is highly flawed and making me consider leaving Apple all together. Just bought a new MacBook for $1600 a week ago but they are going to fleece me for $18 is insane.

That system can be confusing because you can subscribe to services through Apple or through Peacock, or sometimes end up with subscriptions through both.

I can understand your frustration but nobody here can resolve this for you. This is a customer to customer support feature and we have no connections with Apple at all. Apple apparently uses an automated system to determine refund eligibility so your best bet is to get in touch with somebody at Apple about their end of things or a person at Peacock for help with their side of things. I would try to get this resolved with one try and not make too many refund request attempts.

This support article has various country telephone numbers for contacting Apple for support and service ➔ https://support.apple.com/106932 Scroll down to “Connect with live support”. If your country is not in the list, go to the “Other countries” entry at the end of the list and click on the “options” link. Not every country has telephone support, and phone numbers may only work when calling from the same country.
