iPhone 17 Pro Max: iMessage/FaceTime activation pop-ups

Hello,

I recently bought an iPhone 17 Pro Max and transferred my data from an iPhone 15. After the transfer, I started having issues with iMessage and FaceTime — I cannot activate them or turn them off.

Every 30 minutes I get a popup saying:

“Turn on iMessage and FaceTime?”

Sometimes I also see:

“Turn on iCloud?”

In Settings → Apps → iMessage the status always shows:

“Waiting for activation”

What I’ve already tried:

  1. Turned iMessage and FaceTime off → restarted the iPhone → turned them on again
  2. Reset network settings
  3. Switched to a different Wi-Fi network
  4. Turned iMessage and FaceTime off — the popup still appears

How can I fix this? I don’t even need iMessage or FaceTime. The constant popups are very annoying and disruptive.
