I am writing to formally express my deep disappointment with the service experience regarding my iPhone 14 Plus, purchased in October 2023 (manufactured August 2023).

Recently, I encountered a sudden rear camera failure, where the camera display went completely blank. Notably, the device was functioning perfectly the same morning, and I had even captured photos. By afternoon, the camera stopped working unexpectedly without any prior warning.




I would like to highlight the following facts for your review:




The device has never been dropped, mishandled, or physically damaged.


There is no prior service history, as the phone has been carefully maintained.


The failure appears to be sudden and without user-induced cause.


I am still financially paying EMIs for this device, and the malfunction has significantly impacted my day-to-day usage, especially while I was traveling and unable to use essential payment features.




I have already coordinated with the service team, and despite multiple escalations, I was informed that the issue is not covered and that a paid replacement costing approximately ₹21,000 would be required.



Given the nature of the fault and the absence of any accidental damage, I strongly believe this indicates a potential manufacturing or component defect, particularly since the device falls within the broader timeframe of known hardware concerns referenced on your support channels.



Request for Resolution



I respectfully request:


A comprehensive technical reassessment of my case.


Consideration for a goodwill repair or replacement, given the circumstances and product history.



Notice of Further Action



In the absence of a satisfactory resolution, I may be compelled to pursue remedies available under applicable consumer protection laws, including:



Filing a formal complaint under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 (India) for


Deficiency in service


Sale of a product with potential inherent defect



Seeking appropriate relief, including repair/replacement and compensation for inconvenience and financial impact.



This email serves as my final escalation prior to initiating formal proceedings. I sincerely hope this matter can be resolved amicably and promptly.

these forums are user helping other users like yourself, it's sort of going to a physical apple store and asking other customers their advice

 

if it was me then I would

 

try restarting the ios device Force restart iPhone - Apple Support and check if it resolved it


if it did not then I would try Restore your iPhone, iPad, or iPod to factory settings - Apple Support


if that did not resolve it then I would contact apple about repair Apple Service and Repair for iPhone - Apple Support
