Where is the best place to get a USA duckhead for a 2012 Macbook Pro charger in the UK. I'm looking to get one so I can swap out my UK one when I travel to the US so I don't have to connect my UK charger into an adapter.
Would also be happy with just buying a US charger as well

Ask the local Apple Store, too. They’ll probably have a travel kit.
Given the power supply is multi-voltage, a simple shaver adapter will workwith no power or phase conversion needed, if you can’t scrounge a duckhead.

Apple does not sell the duckhead separately.
But in the US, they DO sell about two-meter AC extension cord that fits in place of the duckhead:
A big +1 on Grant's suggestion. The charger end of the cable should fit your UK charger, and I just confirmed it IS in the UK online store:
We have four of those cable and they have been very handy, almost a good as sliced bread! The cord section is very flexible and packs easily. One lodge we frequent on trips is an older property whose AC outlets were not relocated to a computer-friendly location when the rooms were remodeled. The extension cable makes that a non-problem, and at least one such cable is always in my "BBBoT," the "Big Blue Bag of Tech" that goes with us on car trips.
