iPad Pro M4 Screen Blackout Issue

"To whom it may concern,

I am writing to express my deep dissatisfaction with the quality of the iPad Pro M4 and the subsequent service experience at Apple Central World.

My device suffers from frequent 'Black Screen' crashes where the display dies but audio remains active. A technician confirmed a hardware failure but admitted they are unsure of the specific cause, merely guessing it is the logic board. Being asked to pay 29,000 THB for a repair based on a 'guess'—on a flagship device that is barely out of warranty—is unacceptable.

This feels like a manufacturing defect rather than wear and tear. I would like to know if Apple is investigating this as a known issue for the M4 Tandem OLED models. What are my options for an out-of-warranty exception or a more reasonable repair path? I look forward to your prompt response."

For practical purposes, in lieu of repairing and returning your own iPad, Apple usually exchange the iPad for a renewed/refurbished iPad of the same model and specification. The cost of the exchange is the same as would otherwise be charged for repair. Unless you have benefit of an active AppleCare plan, an out-of-warranty repair while expensive will be somewhat less than the cost of a replacement iPad.

As for out-of-warranty repair costs, Apple offers a fixed-price price repair. You can verify eligibility and cost for your region/country here:

If you have an active AppleCare+ plan, the cost of repair is reduced to a small excess/deductible fee.
