Did you just update your iPhone to iOS version 26.3 recently?
Battery drain after an iOS update is very common for a few hours or days. It’s caused by background re‑indexing and other system optimizations.
1. Open Settings ➡️ Battery ➡️ Battery Usage and check if one app is spiking.
2. Open Settings ➡️ Privacy & Security ➡️ Location Services ➡️ set unused apps to While Using.
3. Open Settings ➡️ General ➡️ Background App Refresh ➡️ turn off apps you don’t need.
5. Try and Force Restart your iPhone EXACTLY as shown below and see whether that resolves the issue:
- Press and quickly release Volume UP button
- Press and quickly release Volume DOWN button
- Press and Hold the SIDE button until an Apple logo appears and then release the Side button (Can take up to 20 seconds. (DO NOT release Side Button when invited to Slide Power OFF).
No need to visit Apple unless the battery charge drops unusually fast.
