I have an iPad mini A17pro. I’ve never been able to make the fingerprint work because the actual fingerprint button doesn’t fully appear on the screen, only the bottom edge in the top right corner. How do I bring the full fingerprint down into the screen?!

Your iPad doesn't register fingerprints via the screen at all. The fingerprint reader is built-in to the physical Top (Sleep/Wake) button.

As yet, Apple hasn't released any products with through-screen fingerprint readers.
