I just bought a iPad Air 11-inch (M3) and corresponding Magic Keyboard and the keyboard backlighting is not working. I have tried all online suggestions (under Settings>General>Hardware Keyboard there is no slider). Am I missing something or is this keyboard defective?
FYI - after one hour on the phone with Apple Support today (3/5/26), determined that the M3 model is NOT backlit. You’d have to purchase the M4 or M5 for Apple iPad PRO to get the backlit version. Very confusing and not intuitive on the store front.
