Apple TV update issue: F1 content inaccessible

Settings are set for auto updates and is telling me I have the recent version installed-iOS 17- for my system. Apple TV wants a software update to run F1, but the update button doesn’t do anything. Apple TV says it is connected to F1, but I do not have access to any content either through appletv app or F1 app.

To watch Formula 1 in the Apple TV app in the US, your iPad will need to run iPadOS 26.2 or later. Some older iPad models may max out at iPadOS 18.x or earlier version. iPad models compatible with iPadOS 26 - Apple Support

However, if you prefer not to watch inside the Apple TV app, or your version Apple TV app doesn’t support F1, then F1 TV Premium remains available and is included at no cost in the US for Apple TV subscribers. You’ll just need to download the F1 TV app, and link your account through the F1 TV site. The F1 TV app on Apple devices now requires OS version 16.0 or later.

The Apple TV app (with F1) is also available on select smart TVs and third party streaming devices.

i have tried repeatedly (we have had this discussion previously) to open the F1 app by linking it to my appletv app. I get the same message- already linked, but with an error message. BE4005 It opens but all programs are locked.

I have removed and reloaded the F1 app.

I have the same issue with an iPadPro which is currently up to date with iPadOS 16.7.15.
I tried linking as promptedn my updated F1 Live app with my AppleTV account and I get the same error code: BE4005.
Fortunately I can still watch all the F1 races on any of my smart TVs which are equipped with Apple TV
Help? Customer svc? Anyone?

Yours appears to be a different problem and forum etiquette is to start a new thread rather than hijack someone else's.

As Urquhart points out, you need 26.2 to use your iPad.

Error BE4005 is an account linking error usually caused by having another linked account. The usual fix is to log out and back in again, but if you've tried that and it doesn't work you need to contact F1 Live directly to fix it.

And your best way to get help is to start a new thread. People might have looked at this thread before you posted and not been able to answer the original question, so when they see it appear in the list again when you have posted they don't bother to look at it cos they know they couldn't answer the OP. It would be a shame if one of those people were able to help you but never saw your post.
