Music library not showing up in Final Cut Pro and other apps

I used Final Cut Pro to make a brief video: but couldn’t access my music library with it.

Opening Music.app, I had to force quite it, several times: but then remembered to press ⌥ whilst opening Music, so I could pick the right library.

However?

My Music Library is still not showing up in the two apps.

What’s happening, and how do I solve this … ?

I suppose that have already tried quitting and restarting Final Cut Pro after selecting that library.

The first thing that I'd do is to make sure that Final Cut Pro has "Full Disk Access"

in System Settings->Privacy & Security

OK, @Luis: I was just speaking to Apple Support, when the **** library showed up on screen.

Whilst the support agent was viewing my screen via remote access!

The agent say the issue is caused by the fact my library is on an old fashioned HDD: which is causing lag.

(I have switched on Full Disc Access for FCX: iMovie’s was already on.)

Either way: cheers for the help!

I'll amend my previous post with my libraries used to all be on an SSD, they're now all on a HDD RAID. I've never noticed any performance difference.

It has always taken a hot minute for the libraries from other apps to show up, they've never been instantaneous. Not sure what would be in a bug fix update to make it even slower. Perhaps a system drive that's getting full. It should have a minimum of 15% free space.

But a bug fix update would be weird. Wonder what bug they fixed that broke something else.

I did the update, tested, no changes here.
