When you send your iPhone in for a repair and they gave you a quote because they send you a email saying that they found damage on the iPhone that’s not covered by the warranty. Do they just repair the enclosure if it has dents or do they just replace the entire device
We don't know what kind of actual damage that you are asking about.
If the phone is repairable, Apple will get it working, but they will not repair the dents.
If it is not possible to repair the phone with the dents, Apple will replace the phone with a refurbished device.
What does the quote that you received say exactly?
Generally the entire device is replaced. An Apple Store can at times be more accommodating in regard to specific repairs vs replacing the device.
They said that they found some damages that are not covered by AppleCare and they told me that that my service had a Re-quote and I would be paying a $99 fee but when I called, they said that they’re gonna repair just enclosure. The reason why we sent my iPhone off for a repair was because of a repeat issue for my iPhone 17 Pro Max main logic board failure. but when I called Apple, they said they’re just gonna replace just the entire frame. I’m like Apple. It doesn’t say that in the policy.
That’s funny because they told me that they’re just gonna repair the entire enclosure
