Do I have to turn off "Learn from this App" on every single app or is there a global setting?

I have an iPhone 17 with the latest OS. In Settings, I went to Apple Intelligence & Siri and turned off Apple Intelligence. If I scroll down to Apps, there are dozens of apps that I have installed, and pretty much everyone has "Learn from this App" on by default. If I don't want Siri to be used on any of these apps, is there a way to turn it off globally?

iPhone 17, iOS 26

Hey @Andvari -

Good question. I wish I had a different answer for you.

If there’s a global setting, I haven’t been able to find it.

I looked for one back when I first discovered this had been added to Settings => no 🍀 then. Sometimes looking again later works for me b/c feature locations can be counterintuitive, the relationship between naming conventions and functionality have grown less intuitive over time, etc… So I just tried again => no 🍀 now.

And what makes me fairly confident that I’m not overlooking the global setting comes from some language I just discovered in the About section. The most relevant bit is highlighted in the screenshot below, but fwiw, you might find the whole subsection helpful because it covers related features too. (I found it curious/annoying that ‘Learn from this app’ seems to be the only one without global opt-out selectivity. 🙄)

As a related aside, I’ve spent some time trying to look for a map of iOS settings, which would serve a few useful purposes including making this sort of hunting exercise easier to navigate. I haven’t found one in the public domain. I’ve actually been meaning to play around with prototyping smthg along those lines. Will it happen? My magic 8-ball app expresses pessimism. Hmmm…possibly because I forgot to turn off that feature. Takehome message? Don’t forget that you’ll have to rinse and repeat for any subsequent apps you DL.
