Hi,
Yes, you can.
The M9269Z/A is a Bluetooth-enabled mouse that works with any Bluetooth-enabled Mac, including modern Apple Silicon (M1/M2/M3/M4) devices.

MacTracker indicates that M9269Z/A is an Apple Wireless Mouse introduced in September 2003. M9270LL/A is an Apple Wireless Keyboard (2003), introduced in September 2003. Both require a Mac with Bluetooth support that is running Mac OS X 10.2.6 or later.
The following Support article doesn't explicitly address wireless devices without the "Magic" name – but you might want to take a look at the "Set up earlier Apple wireless input devices" section, in case it is applicable.

Based on the timeline in the following third-party article, I believe that these two Apple Wireless devices would be using some version of Bluetooth 1.0. The M4 MacBook Airs support Bluetooth 5.3. I believe that Bluetooth should be backwards compatible, but that you'll only get the capabilities associated with the lower version.

Then again, I found a thread on a certain "rumors" site where someone said
"Also Tahoe does not support vintage bluetooth Keyboards like the Apple A1016, which in my opinion is the most substantial bluetooth keyboard Apple made."
I'm not sure how accurate this is, since the same poster also asserted (incorrectly) that Tahoe does not work with mechanical hard disks. (Tahoe supports mechanical hard disks, but may have dropped support for Fusion Drives, which would make sense, given that Fusion Drives were always internal, and none of the Macs that can run Tahoe ever shipped with them.)
Thanks. I haven't had a chance to try the mouse yet, but I had attempted to use the original Apple Wireless Keyboard* (also, a bluetooth device) with an M4 MacBook Air and wasn't able to get it to pair (nor was the Apple Store person I consulted). The keyboard would appear on the pairing screen but not for long.
The Apple employee believed that the Bluetooth version the keyboard was designed to work with wasn't compatible with the M4 MacBook Air, which he said uses an updated version of Bluetooth that must not be backward-compatible with the keyboard. Do you think he was mistaken and that like the mouse the keyboard should work with the M4 Macbook Air? If so, I'll look into getting it to work again.
(I've used the keyboard without any issues on a mid-2012 MacBook Pro running OS 10.15.7 / Catalina.)

Thank you very much. I don’t see anything relevant to my situation in the “Set up earlier Apple wireless input devices” section. Re: the advice in ¶1, when I went to the Apple Store with the M4 MacBook Air and the keyboard the latter couldn’t have been affected by its connection to my older MacBook Pro (which I didn’t bring) and it still didn’t connect to my M4 MacBook Air.
The article invites feedback about any problems (“Get suggestions”). I will try that but am pretty sure I’ll be told the keyboard is considered obsolete (i.e., too old for support from Apple). In that case, I’ll try taking it to a non-Apple Store authorized dealer to see if they can get the keyboard working with the M4 MacBook Air.
