Force restart issue after updating iPhone 14

I tried to update my iph 14 last night and apple logo with progress bar is not loading anymore. It has been more than 6 hours and I cannot even force restart. *** what did you do to fix? 😭

If your iPhone won’t force‑restart, then the update failed and the phone is stuck in a partial install state.


1 Try a force‑restart again (timing matters):

Press and release Volume Up ➡️ press and release Volume Down ➡️ hold Side button for 30–40 seconds until the screen goes black and the Apple logo reappears.

 (If the screen never goes black, keep holding — many users release too early.)


2 If it still won’t restart, connect the iPhone to a Mac or PC.

Open Finder (Mac) or Apple Devices app / iTunes (Windows).

Keep the iPhone connected.

Put the iPhone into Recovery Mode manually:

Press and release Volume Up.

Press and release Volume Down.

Hold Side button until you see the computer + cable Recovery Mode screen.

When the computer prompts you, choose Update (not Restore).

 This reinstalls iOS without erasing data.


3 If Update fails or the phone exits Recovery Mode, repeat the steps and choose Restore — this erases the device but fixes the firmware.


If the iPhone still won’t complete the update or restore, there may be a deeper hardware or firmware issue.
