Saving iPhone photos to external storage device
I am trying to save photos from my iPhone into an external storage device. How do I do that?

An iPhone 12 has a lighting port, so you will need an adapter to plug in an external drive. The drive should show up in the Files app. Then in Photos you can select pictures and choose Share>Save to Files, and then navigate to your drive. It works quite well.
