Apple Pencil 2nd GEN won’t write on iPad mini 6

I have an iPad mini 6 and an Apple Pencil second generation.

My devices were working perfectly fine up until three days ago. I noticed there was an update so I figured maybe that’s why it wasn’t working. After updating, disconnecting, resetting and everything else YouTube told me to do, my Apple Pencil connects to my iPad mini, is charged, but will not write.

I even changed the tip of the pencil.

What can I do to fix this problem?

Ensure that the replaceable plastic pencil tip is screwed firmly (i.e., finger tight) into the body of the Apple Pencil; even a slightly loosened tip will cause issues. When correctly positioned, there should be a tiny gap (around the full circumference - of about the thickness of a sheet of paper) between the tip and the body of the Pencil.
