Can't confirm age in UK

Having just updated my iPhone to 26.4 it's now asking me to confirm I'm 18+, I don't have a credit card and it doesn't give me the option to scan my drivers licence so now what? I'm 57 and now my phone is going to treat me like a child.

This is ridiculous if Apple are going to force us to do this at least give us options I'm 57 and now my phone is going to treat me like a child.

So I managed to sort it eventually, I had enlarged the text size to make it easier to read the screen, reading the thread on reddit I saw to click on the add credit card manually option and then select try other id, problem was I couldn't see try other id, I reset the text size to default and the option was visible and clickable, then after about 10 attempts at scanning my drivers licence my phone accepts I'm an adult again, stupid clunky implementation of age verification designed with what appears to be no accessibility considerations in place.

i am a young one with special needs in this boat. i am 19 soon and my passport is all i have but they don't take it. support couldn't help me because i'm deaf and their higher support team only do phone calls. i'm going to be treated like an idiot by my ipad all because it updated without me knowing 😢 it's stupid, i should have the right to use my own devices how i like just like everyone else.

Having the same issue, don’t have a credit card, errors scanning passport and ID. Called the helpline, went through all the checks, got escalated, received an email saying they were happy to help literally as I was still on the phone. More checks, everything as expected. Refused to reset network because I don’t want to lose my WiFi passwords. Spent at least 1.5 hours on this, told them I felt like a guinea pig. Their shift ended, arranged a call back 2 days later, got another email with their contact. I had a change of plan and couldn’t make it, notified them via email, pointed out that other people are experiencing the same issues, pointed out the UX faults in the interface, asked them to email me the solution. They replied asking me to confirm the time for a call back, I’m too busy and did not reply. It’s been 2 weeks, I tried again today, same issues.
