iPhone age verification in UK: no license or credit card
So if people living in the UK update their iPhone to 26.4 and haven't got a driving licence, or credit card. How do they verify their age?
iPhone 15, iOS 26

So if we can not use our phone in the UK as have no form of ID that your company will accept will we be compensated for our monthly bills to our phone network providers by Apple, I doubt it. When will the US realise that other countries exist in this world.
Apple has no control over the laws in the UK. It is just like Advanced Data Protection that is offered everywhere else in the world except the UK, as they will not allow you to use it on your Apple Account.

The thing is, it’s not fair. I have six top of the range iPhones so they’re going to be brick now be because I can’t prove who I am.
How much you spent on the phones is not really relevant to this discussion. And the phones are not "bricks." That would imply that they are completely unusable. And we all know that's not true. Are there limitations? Yes. Will they cause problems and frustration? Undoubtedly. I think everyone feels for you. But we can't do anything about it.
these forums are user helping other users like yourself, it's sort of going
to a physical apple store and asking other customers their advice
we are just users like yourself and have no saying in what is fair and what is not, non of us have any means to communicate or pass on info to apple then you do, it's illogical

Apple took it on themselves to implement this. It is not part of the UK law at the moment.
I'm not sure why you keep arguing with people here. We are not Apple. We are not the UK government. We don't know why they made the decisions they did. We don't know their plans for the future. I think you've been given all the practical advice currently available. What are you still hoping to get from people in this forum?
It is not part of the UK law at the moment.
The law was passed more than 2 years ago. Companies were given until now to comply.
You did not answer my question. What is that you think that other users on this site can do to help you?
I’m having problems verifying my age because they do not recognise my debit card as I don’t have a credit card. It then tells me to verify my age using a drivers license or national ID - when the box comes up I frame my drivers card in it but nothing happens - I have tried everyday since the download and still nothing. Please help me!!!
Apple should let us use our face picture. 🤔
No. It’s not worth it .. too expensive if not going to drive.
none of the above are of any use unfortunately. Apple need to find an alternative.

Why? So you can upload your grandpa’s photo and say it’s you?
I don’t think so. I’m 68 years old 🙄
I asked Apple, they had no answer. 😖
Are you in the UK?
if they do not, and your government do not have any answers then it would seem that owning an ios device without having a credit card or drivers license is not possible in your country.
