How to use Apple Intelligence and Siri

so I’m moved from a iPhone 14 to iPhone 17 pro max’s and this is my first experience with Apple Intelligence and I don’t think it’s up to par not sure how to use Apple Intelligence and Siri on my device seems like she is dumbfounded and not as smart as as she was on my 14 is there any settings I need to have turned on to use the feature I’m talking about thanks in advance also if there’s any tips you all have to share that will make my use of to 17 pro max better please feel.
