hi, I’ve been using Apple Watch for a few years now. I’ve recently had to swap to my old phone after some unexpected damage. After this swap I had to pair my watch to my phone. In the process I had to reset it. Prior to my phone being damaged I had installed watchOS 8.8.2, now my watch is refusing to install any apps! Can anyone help?

I contacted Apple Support on 4/14 and they said this is a bug in the software and the engineers are currently looking into a fix for it. Expect a software update or fix within the next week. I will update everyone on Monday 4/20 with the update from support.
Don't waste your time trying to reset, unpair etc..
Picked up my series 3 yesterday , all stuck basic apps have been downloaded automatically, with no action on my part. Seems whatever Apple has done to fix it is working, no manual download or pair/unpair required.
The same thing is happening to me. I had already noticed this symptom of restarting while charging, but today it also suddenly shut down, even with a significant battery charge, and then restarted, getting stuck in this cycle. It seems that Apple solved the problem with the native apps and created another one with these sudden shutdowns and restarts in watchOS 8.8.2.

yes, I have tried to install from the App Store and it works. But not for the apps which are “ installing “.

I am having the same issue with my watch as well. I have tried all the troubleshooting and nothing fixed my watch.
Same here! It just won’t install, and the ones installing won’t install in the App Store

Me too. I’m having the same issue with exactly the same apps on my series 3 after installing the 8.8.2 update. My watch was working perfectly before it. A patch would be greatly appreciated.

I'm experiencing the same problem and have contacted Apple support, but they say the cause is currently unknown.

I'm also having a similar problem, because after the native apps normalized and the watch worked normally yesterday, today it's restarting after trying to charge it.
The apps came back. But now the battery is draining fast. The Apple Watch series 3 used to last me 18 hours. Now its 6 hours please fix
Exactly the same thing, the battery life has become extremely short, and it even shuts down having battery charge remaining.
Any resolve? This has been driving my crazy, but I’m happy to hear it’s a known issue and not just my watch
