Every Hide My Email address generated by Apple (in the format 2ctqvs****@privaterelay.appleid.com) is permanently linked to the email account you chose at the time of creation. That link cannot be changed later.

For example, if you originally connected the relay address to your Gmail account, it will always forward messages to Gmail. You cannot later switch it to iCloud, Yahoo, or any other provider.

If you want a relay address that forwards to a different email account, the only option is to create a new Hide My Email address while selecting the desired account (such as iCloud or Yahoo) during setup. You can then use that new relay address for future sign-ups, subscriptions, or communications.

In short:

• Each relay address is locked to the forwarding account chosen at creation.
• Forwarding cannot be re-linked or reassigned.
• To use a different email account, you must generate a new Hide My Email address.
