Problem with screen time passcode screen
My iPad screen time passcode screen became a tiny alphanumeric keypad. I recently updated to iPadOS 26.4.1. How do I change it back to a numeric only keypad?

Excellent question. Thank you for flagging this behaviour with iPadOS 26.4.1; iOS for iPhone does not appear to be similarly affected by this issue
Appearance of this keyboard appears to be a bug introduced with iPadOS 26.4.1. Interestingly, this behaviour cannot be captured with a simple screenshot - but requires a photo to be taken by another device:

You, I, and others that encounter this issue need to submit a Bug Report to Apple via its Product Feedback portal. For iPad and iPadOS:
Every report counts - as until Apple receive a sufficient number or reports, it is perhaps unlikely that resources will be assigned to investigate and resolve the issue.
When submitting a report, ensure that you include as much detail as possible within the body of the report - including your iPad model and installed version of iPadOS; don’t rely upon the pick-list, as this rarely includes the full range of device models or most recent versions of iOS/iPadOS.

The same problem still continues in iPadOS 26.4.2.
You (and others) that still are affected by this issue after updating to iPadOS 26.4.2 should submit a fresh Bug Report to Apple:
Repeating information provided earlier within the thread, every report counts. Until Apple receive a sufficient number or reports, it is perhaps unlikely that resources will be assigned to investigate and resolve the issue.

Yes, it is indeed frustrating when a bug of this type is discovered.
Hopefully Apple will fix the issue in the next iPadOS update. Unfortunately, we have no timescale as to when this may be. In the meantime, anyone encountering the problem should independently submit a bug report to Apple - as already outlined.
Yeah I decided I’m turning off updates until I wait 2 weeks to see if there’s bugs reported. I’m glad I know it’s nothing my son and I did but it’s hard to hit the passcode with it being so small. But I’ve been trying to fix it for a while. This is an odd bug that Apple didn’t fix with the new update.
Thank you I sent a report. This is so frustrating.
