Virus concern after clicking pop-ups on phone in dev mode

Hey everyone

I was on a website where you talk to people or AI and try to guess who you were talking to, but that’s not the case

i got a few pop up ads and I accidentally clicked on two of them which directed me to an app ( SHEIN )

is there a possibility that I might’ve got a virus or something from it ? Because am starting to get concerned cuz of my phone being on dev mode

I’ve put the website I was on in VirusTotal twice and nothing came up

so is there a way to check my phone ?

and thanks ❤️❤️

Your iPhone was not hacked.

A website pop-up is nothing more than a clever HTML code that anyone can write in a simple text editor.

<button onclick="alert('This is a simple pop-up!')">Show Pop-up</button>

You can’t believe everything you see! 🫪

I FOUND THAT ( AuthKitUiService ) BEEN OPERATING FOR AN HOUR AND 43 MINUTES!!!!!

That’s a normal process.

If Concerned for a Breach:

Clear the an iPhone:

The only way of removing a breach would be to reset the iPhone. There is something going around, when you screen is taken over --and, to be blunt, I've been through it myself. The passwords are grabbed as enter them --quite a thought. I had to reset it over WiFi, and not logout of of iCloud from Settings. I set it up from there, reinstalling apps and everything. So, backup what you can. From Malwarebtyes: [updated] A DarkSword hangs over unpatched iPhones - Malwarebytes

"Thanks for your reply: so I’ve been over stressing myself? but what about the article you sent me? And thanks again for the user tips"

Are your Over-stressing?

I can't speak for you. But, if it were me, and I accidentally downloaded and installed an app that is of third-party, involuntarily, I would remove it immediately(hold down until it wiggles and then tap the "x") and just not open it. If opened, I would remove it and would change my Apple Credentials, starting with a new password. Being a bit concerning seeing my screen moving about, I contacted Apple Support. In the long run, they had my perform the reset and my iPhone has been fine every since. So, if so concerned, I'd say backup your items and then perform the reset.

"Thanks for the reply: im sorry to hear that you went through that but I’ve read the article you sent few times and the pop up that I accidentally clicked sent me to a legit app, so does that make a difference in my case ? and is there a way to tell if my phone is hacked or not?"

No. You are not going to know. If you're not having this hovering issue, then there is no concern for it. It can happen to anyone out there.

AuthKitUiService:

This is meant to Two-Factor Authentication, and other items. So, you are fine. Just be certain to upgrade your iPhone to the latest-compatible iOS version.

IMPORTANT: If you have an option to update, however, then be certain you backup your iPhone first. That way, you will have something to restore your iPhone from should anything go wrong with the update

Thanks again for your reply

I can surely confirm that I didn’t download any apps from any pop up ( especially the ones that you mentioned )

but it kinda weird that it directed me to the app and honestly it got me worried if clicking the pop up would cause something to my phone by using the app to breach into my phone or something like that

and about the website I just deleted it from my history

and im sorry for asking again but am I safe ?

Im really really thankful for all the help you provide me MrLittles but I think we got ourselves confused here

i meant this message

“MrLittles I didn’t download anything at all, the app ( SHEIN which is a site the you order stuff from ) was on my phone and I’ve been using it since I got my phone, and downloaded from the App Store, I hope this can clear up some confusion“

and about the Proxy and DNS, should I leave them on or turn them off ?

and again im really really thankful for all the help ❤️❤️❤️❤️
