my current capacity is 95, but when i was using ios 18, and had 217 cycle counts of charging i still had 100% of capacity, because i’m very gentle with all of my phones and pc, and never overcharged them. also there was no battery draining, and i could’ve last with this for a full day(including playing games), and just charged my phone when going to bed. as soon as i accidentally updated to ios 26, i start to have problems. i already did switched all of the functions to look more like a previous versions, and i don’t care honestly how it looks like, i just need it to work
my first problem was the battery draining. i was still charging it like i usually did, even though sometimes i had to not use my phone at all. but even when i don’t use it, it can lose like 20% per hour, which is a lot, because before it was about 1-3 percent
and of course we can say it’s just because my battery was used a lot at that point, and i can agree
but then my battery capacity started to drain too
at first i’ve noticed it a week after when it suddenly became 98 percent
and it’s okay, i still get that
then became newer update that was forcefully installed, and my capacity became 96% exactly after
i check it everyday now, and exactly two days after it became 95???? is it really normal?
my friend have her iphone for 4 years, and she never updated to iOS 26, and her capacity is 86% without changing it for years. i have mine since summer(do not remember exact date) 2025
and yes, overheating is going with the notification and then my iphone just goes off, and doesn’t let me turn it on until it’s fully cold(i had to use fan to cool it down even)
i already force restarted it after watching videos on yt, and i wouldn’t be asking anything if i had some small problems, but it’s literally killing my phone, and i kinda want to stop it
