iPad playing music on its own

i got back home to my ipad playing music on its own

all the apps were closed no browser or app music. Media player said no music is played. No alarm of any kind.

music could be turned up and down via physical buttons.


it was weird eerie music just a few seconds looped. Got it recorded on audio and video

That sounds pretty creepy honestly. I've seen this happen a few times and it's usually one of these things:


The most common culprit is a Bluetooth speaker or headphones nearby that accidentally connected. Your iPad might have auto-connected to a device and some app (maybe a radio app or streaming service) started playing in the background. Check Settings > Bluetooth and see if anything was connected when it happened.


Also worth checking:


- Look at your Music app or any streaming apps you have - sometimes they have background app refresh enabled and can start playing

- Check if you have any widgets on your home screen that might trigger audio, like radio or podcast widgets

- If you use HomeKit or smart home devices, a connected speaker might have been triggered by a shortcut or automation

- Make sure there are no kids' apps with random sound effects that could loop


One thing I'd suggest is to check Screen Time or look at your app usage to see what was running in the background when it happened. That should give you a clue.
