PNC app needs iOS 16 but won't update on iOS 16.7.15

The PNC Mobile Banking app no longer works on my iPhone. It says that I need to switch to iOS 16 or later before updating, and yet I am on iOS 16.7.15.

When I go to the app store to update the app, I am not given the option.

I tried restarting my phone, deleting and reinstalling the app a few times, and even turning off the app backup on iCloud but nothing's working. It says I'm stuck on version 360628423 which I'm pretty sure isn't even a real version.

Any ideas on how to fix this??

I have an iPhone 7 you can’t update to any other version. The highest iOS is 15.8 I cant change an iPhone 7 it wont update to iOS 16 then they changed it again to iOS 18

how can I get into my online banking. I am not buying a new phone but will have to change banks unless pnc online banking does keep increasing its iOS.

You have to go out and buy a new iPhone which really sucks

i have a iPhone 7 and you can’t update the iOS nor can u change iPhone 7 to any other software why is pnc doing this. I will get a new bank before changing to new phone.

If your current iPhone will not update to iOS 18 ... and your app requires iOS 18 ... then I'm afraid your only option is to get a new or newer iPhone that will support that.

Try updating to iOS 18, in the first picture I noticed it said to update to iOS 18 to access accounts

Going to a new bank is not likely to solve the issue. Most banks require newer IOS for security reasons. Before switching banks, check their app to see its requirements.
