When using the ChatGPT app, then you will see in the App Store that ChatGPT has access to this information that is linked to you, and it is your choice if you want to use the app knowing that.

As with any app you download from the App Store, you should be paying attention to the App Privacy section and that is required by Apple so users are informed to make the decision if they want to download the app. Using the ChatGPT Extension, you are asked every time if you want to use the service and the information you have provided in your question is sent to them. The ChatGPT Extension used with Apple Intelligence does not allow access to information on your device other than what you have agreed to send to ChatGPT.
