I used to be able to swipe away a screenshot to save it on my iPhone 13 but now on my iPhone 17 with iOS 26.4.2, I am being forced to click on save to photos instead. Is there a way to get it back to being able to just swipe the screenshot away to save it?

Yes, go to Settings > General > Screen Capture > Full Screen Preview, and turn it off. It will then return to the thumbnail showing in the corner for a couple of seconds before autosaving to Photos, or you can swipe it away. If you just tap it, then it will open the Preview page again for you to save to a different location.
