Magic Trackpad Model A3120 will not connect to Late 2015 iMac

Magic Trackpad – I purchased a model A3120. I later found that model will not connect to my iMacOS Monterey V-12.7.6. The corded connection only operates as a simple move the cursor and nothing else. I get a "rejected" messege when trying to connect via Bluetooth. Is there any way to connect these two or am I stuck?

Hi Jagmeemursz,

The Magic Trackpad with the USB-C port is only compatible with macOS Sequoia 15.1 or later. Unfortunately, your iMac late-2015 is not compatible with this version of macOS.

Try to return your Magic Trackpad, explaining this predicament if this helps.

You would need to get Magic Trackpad with the Lightning port for it to be compatible with your version of macOS. You won't find this model on the Apple website but you could find refurbished/used ones at other resellers (I couldn't find any new ones.)
