I recently fat fingered iPad OS 26.4.2 update from iPad OS 18, the (annoying notice got me now....)
I turned off Full screen preview on the new ios26 but screenshot swipe from left or right still asking to save to photo.
I restarted multiple time flipping the setting back and forth still stuck with this issue.

To save the screenshot, tap the blue tick at top-right - and the choose, from the menu, how you wish to save the screenshot:
You can choose to save to Photos, to Files, or to a Quick Note.
The Screenshot function within iPadOS 26 are significantly more flexible than earlier versions - but this additional flexibility brings with it the need for an extra tap or two...

Having triggered the screenshot, if you do not wish to save it, tap the "X" button at the extreme top-left of the screen.

yes I am aware of the X, but I want it to save by automatically like in os 18. Now it takes extra tap just to ensure a screenshot is saved.
turning off "Full screen preview" should have done this but isn't working.
Updated to 26.5 issue persisted.
